Morphology/Character
The tall, pointed spire, which invariably lacks the apical whorls, is less than half the height of the shell. the broad body whorl usually has two prominent varices (as does each spire whorl). the smooth, broad, and flattened spiral rib below each whorl is wavy and puckered. Siphonal canal is broad and short. Thin folds along the columellar wall. Creamy, with dark brown blotches and crescents. Aperture orange-brown, with white, dark brown between.
